With the 2015 Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia (SCEJA) Press Conference delivering groundbreaking announcements, it appears that Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Kingdom Hearts 2.8 news is only the tip of the iceberg. Series creator, Tetsuya Nomura, teased the possibility of including online multiplayer in Kingdom Hearts III.
According to an interview with Nomura-san with Engadget,
“Online is certainly part of my wish list — we want gamers to play for a while and an online component helps this.”
Improving online capabilities and pushing the boundaries of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with the prowess of the Kingdom Hearts III development team understates the potential of what this title can dish out. The team truly knows that multiplayer plays a pivotal role in today’s market, where keeping players invested in the universe of the game with DLC and infinite features is the way to go.
